The double mini transition mat is a safety progression mat designed to support athletes as they learn to connect the key phases of a double mini pass with greater confidence and control. By adding a soft, clearly defined landing surface to the second contact area, athletes develop stronger spatial awareness, improved timing and more consistent movement patterns in the early stages of training.
Sized to fit the top surface of a DMT, this mat helps visualise the center of the trampoline bed, which is obscured when using a traditional landing mat or throw mat. It is ideal for Baranis, Rudis, & Half Out mounts onto the mat, or more advanced skill progressions. Athletes can feel confident knowing there is a soft surface to help absorb a landing and visually reinforce correct landing locations. Unlike a traditional throw mat, the double mini transition mat is placed on the double mini prior to the athlete mounting. A red front edge is a clear visual as the athlete approaches the double mini. The white landing surface gives accurate landing feedback to the athlete as they descend from their mount.
Looking for some versatility in using the double mini transition mat. Add the mat to a mat stack on the deck to encourage height after the mount and to reinforce spotting during the landing. Or, flip the mat over, as the bottom side of the mat is a solid colour for easy use as a throw mat on a trampoline.
